Light Headed

Blake completed a landscape this week.  The piece is a bit of an oddity as, for the past year - he has been primarily focused on figure-based imagery.

The original (as well as prints*) is available on his Saatchi Page

Light Headed (2013) by Blake Peterson [Edition of 10]

* available as: (1) resin coated, satin luster finish photo paper; (2) museum quality, cotton matte paper; or (3) as canvas prints on a 1 1/4 in stretched frame

Degree Show Documentation (Part 2 of 3)

And here's part two...

"Chit Chat Tummy" by Blake Peterson & Zoe Phillips as installed at the Glue Factory, for the Glasgow School of Art MFA Degree Show.

The structure (approx. 6ft wide x 4 ft tall) is coated with day-glow, glow-in-the-dark, and 'night glow' acrylic paint, in addition to: latex body paint, krink, watercolor pigment, metallic ink, screen-printing ink, and various battery-powered LED lights.  Additional materials were used in the construction of the base.

The video was placed within the structure, rather than being placed on a plinth, in an attempt to actively engage the viewer.  One has to slightly bend at the waist in order to view the monitor, leading viewers to become subconsciously aware of their own stomach.

Hot PInk Iceland

A few more hot pink landscapes. I've made 3 so far, but want to end up with a series of 4 or 6. The landscapes are based on photos I took in Iceland.
