Zoe at the OCCCA

Zoe's work, '925 Evergreen St.' was selected for inclusion in the upcoming exhibition, "HÔME" at the Orange County Center for Contemporary Art!

The opening reception at the OCCCA is at 6pm on Saturday, July 5th.  The exhibition runs from the 5th, through the 26th of July.

The work, '925 Evergreen St.' is a part of Zoe's "Foamless = Homeless" series, which 'create[s] a narrative featuring an ambiguous  coming disaster, which could be natural or man-made.  Homes, and the notions of everyday life are threatened, so a solution is developed and propagated: cover your home in foam.' (ZP, 2014).  

Follow the links for previews to: the full series when it was installed in San Francisco, was featured in SF Art Enthusiast, related images, the "Foamless=Homeless" book, and an early, in-studio snapshot.

But remember to go and see the work in person, at the Orange County Center for Contemporary Art!

Blake's Artwork in LUCY'S

Last month, we mentioned that Blake was asked to provide a selection of his artwork for a new Swiss-based arts and cultural Magazine, Lucy's.

My work is being featured in a new Swiss publication, titled Lucy's.  I am not fluent in German, but as I understand it, the article pertains to "the culture of drug use in Switzerland."  We'll have photos of a printed copy later, but here's a low resolution preview of the first two pages for now (the full article features 6 of my prints/ drawings) :

TWO TONED MOJO [through June 30th]

Through June 30th, a selection of prints, drawings, and photographs by Blake & Zoe will be on view at Black Sheep in San Francisco.

At the reception tonight (June 13th), there will be some additional works available for sale / view.  Additionally, Blake and Zoe have compiled a special soundtrack for the event.

Zoe featured at SF Art Enthusiast!

Zoe was featured, alongside a few of her fellow SFAI MFA Program graduates over at SF Art Enthusiast.  The article discusses her group show, and includes a photograph of her "Foamless = Homeless" work

After 2 long years, Zoe has completed her MFA in printmaking from the San Francisco Art Institute! As apart of that the graduating class held their end of the year show at San Francisco's historic Old Mint building. Zoe presented her Foamless = Homeless series, including a coloring book, posters, photographs and sculpture.

(preview) "Two-Tone Mojo" at the Black Sheep, SF

Here are two preview (iPhone) images of Blake Peterson + Zoe Phillips' 'Two-Tone Mojo' at the Black Sheep in San Francisco.  It is a collection of twelve giclee prints (each in an edition of five.)  Ten are drawings selected from Zoe's Books About Things, while two are from an upcoming collaboration.  

We will have proper documentation and reception information soon.
