A New Drawing

Blake finished a new drawing, and prints of it are available through his Saatchi page...

The original is currently not for sale.

It is a large graphite (mechanical pencil) drawing over a thin, yellow watercolor wash.  The title, "Object Permanence" is taken from one of the fundamental concepts of developmental psychology.  

Essentially, it is the understanding that objects continue to exist even when they can't be directly experienced (heard/seen/touched/tasted)

Finished the print, see it layer by layer

Today I finished my last layer of ink.  Decided to print in blue grey today instead of black.

Photo's In Studio

Zoe was in the print studio today, adding another layer to her lithograph.  On Thursday, we only printed two of the four colors.

We decided to take some (low-rez) snapshots of the prints as they're being worked on.

We're still not quite finished with this yet; we have to add a few more layers of latex, and add a clear coat to make everything level...

It's a "table cloth" for one of our coffee tables.  It's made out of latex, glitter, and pigment... When it's done it will look even more sparkly and bright!

Printing new lithographs today!

Zoe and Blake are hard at work in the studio!  It's a new piece by Zoe, as a part of her skype series.  Blake is helping with the printing.

With the new year, we're trying to be more productive and show more work...

Running in tandem with her book and sculptural projects, Zoe has been producing a new series of lithographs.  The project is inspired by the Skype conversations she had with Blake (and dealing with distortions that regularly interrupted them), while he was still living in Glasgow.  

Each lithographic image is printed by hand, in an edition of 10.  Please contact us for purchase information.
