After three years the Grocery has finally made a grocery-themed item!  Zoe provided the original drawings, and Blake & Zoe colored and arranged the items on the scarf.

Next week - we should have yet another scarf ready by Tuesday!

They will be available for sale in the next few weeks...

A trip to Argyll and Bute

sheep study

So yesterday Blake, Zoe and two other MFA friends from the Glasgow School of Art went to the coast and visited the area of Argyll and Bute.

Blake bravely drove us around on the wrong side of the road from Cairndow all the way up to Oban and back. We stopped in Cairndow to eat at the Loch Fyne Oyster Bar, which the three sea creature eaters in our group loved.

We then headed north, winding our way through pretty mountains and lochs until we reached Argyll's capital: Oban, where we got a nice peak at the sea and McCaig's tower.

Anyways, now Blake and Zoe are back and working on more scarves!

We should be cutting up the previous ones this weekend, and they'll be available for purchase through select outlets.

A Sheepish Preview

Blake hesitates before going outside

Like what you see?

These are preview images for another project Blake and Zoe are working on. We're thinking of calling it either 'Lost Sheep in Glasgow' or 'Bad Sheep in Glasgow' depending on how the photos turn out. Today Zoe helped suit up Blake, but as soon as we got out the door, it started to rain. Typical Scotland. Hopefully tomorrow we'll have the first set of images done.

A New Silk Scarf: 'Couples'

This is an image of the full scarf. We have it printed on organic silk.
It's 2ftx2ft

The drawings for the figures are done by Zoe, who is constantly making silly drawings. Blake and Zoe sorted through some of the drawings, looking for couples and pairs of characters. For this scarf, Blake did image editing, then the Zoe and Blake bickered about colors and layout until coming up with this final scarf. Hope you like it. More to come soon.

A Scottish parade and a new drawing from zoe

We have next to no idea what the purpose of this parade was, nor are we making any type of political comment.  We  were woken up Saturday morning by a parade, and just thought we'd share the experience.
New shiny drawing by zoe

AGAIN - seriously... if it turns out that the parade was some sort of "anti-whatever-specific-race-naitonality-religous outlook-whatever kind of deal" we're not showing any support pro/anti this group.  I mean come on... who just wakes up to the sound of hundreds of people in a marching band on a random Saturday?
