So what went into the Auction?

On Friday, Blake was able to drop off the two images for the Govanhill Baths Art Auction...

Before leaving the prints, he took photos of the two pieces...

New Print of Blake's

While getting the images matted and ready for the Govanhill Baths Auction, Blake has also been adding to his "Truckdriver" print series.

It hasn't been printed as a litho yet.  Currently, it only exists as a digital file and it still might have some more changes before it's print-ready;

For example, details on the bags, added texture on the back of the coat, and Blake is still debating adding further panels along the right side of the 'page' (allowing the birds to obscure the content of the proposed panels)

Low resolution version of Blake's work-in-progress... original is much more crisp (and detailed)

Busy Busy Busy

Blake and Zoe have been up to a lot since the last update:

Each had a piece selected to be a part of the Govanhill Baths Art Auction, which is going on in Glasgow on the 17th of March.  We will have photographs of the selected pieces up shortly.

Additionally last week, Blake and Zoe completed another phase of the "Lost Sheep in Glasgow" series.  Dressed as a sheep Blake explored through the many alleys, hung out at the skate park, and ate some Gregg's - of course washing it down with IRN BRU.

Also, within the next week - some of the images taken are going to be printed as large-format photographs...

...Plus...

This video was made by looping the photos taken while Blake was adjusting the back of his outfit.  The audio was taken from a song called "Chromophone Band" off an old Doctor Who episode.

A trip to Argyll and Bute

sheep study

So yesterday Blake, Zoe and two other MFA friends from the Glasgow School of Art went to the coast and visited the area of Argyll and Bute.

Blake bravely drove us around on the wrong side of the road from Cairndow all the way up to Oban and back. We stopped in Cairndow to eat at the Loch Fyne Oyster Bar, which the three sea creature eaters in our group loved.

We then headed north, winding our way through pretty mountains and lochs until we reached Argyll's capital: Oban, where we got a nice peak at the sea and McCaig's tower.

Anyways, now Blake and Zoe are back and working on more scarves!

We should be cutting up the previous ones this weekend, and they'll be available for purchase through select outlets.
