Our Awesome Kitchen!!!

If you haven't been following either of Zoe or I on instagram (and you really should, btw), you may not have heard about our most recent project.  We hated the walls in our kitchen, which were plastered with faded, stained pages from an outdated atlas.  So, we decided to make and install our own wallpaper!  The design is a pattern of glitter and rock candy.  To create the pattern, we scanned in actual pieces of candy & glitter, so the wallpaper has a really cool 3-D effect to it.

Horseback Elvis

With the approach of Halloween, there have been more drooling Elvis sightings. Blake colored up a new drawing by Zoe.

Pink Raspberries Dress!!!

Here is the promised funky patterned version of our latest shift dress!  

The print design is based on watercolors we tweaked and played around with a bit.  

We are also finishing up another version of this dress, but with pockets!  NOW FOR SALE ON ETSY!  The fabric is a nice, soft cotton poplin, perfect for daywear.  

We made a dress!

Zoe and I are busy with moving into Portland, setting up a studio, building an exposure unit, and... we made a dress!

This is a prototype of a casual day dress, soon to be in funky patterns!

Pink Raspberries Fabric Print

We are gaga for our latest digital textile print! If you know us, you know we've been dabbling with fabric printing for a few years now. If you're unfamiliar, check out these oldies/but goodies.

The illustrations are studies of Hopi Katsinam Dolls.  Zoe made initial drawings while we were visiting a native art and craft exhibit at the Portland Art Museum.  Blake made revisions and colored the figures.
