BACK IN GLASGOW

"Winning" (2011) Photograph taken by Blake Peterson while in Chicago, IL

Apologies for the lack of updates recently, it has been a hectic time for both Blake and Zoe and there have been a lot of new developments:

Due to her visa expiring - Zoe had to move back to the States.  However, this shouldn't adversely effect her work or her collaborations with Blake to any great extent.  They have already set up a process for current / future collabs.  Essentially, instead of B+Z physically handing back and forth drawings and/or digital files - they will use email and video chat.

Using this process has already initiated a few new scarves which will be posted on the blog once they have been printed - hopefully no later than next Friday.

Right now - Zoe is finishing the hemming for the scarves (that have already been shown on the blog) and working on a few different illustrations (many of them following on from the "envelope drawings" posted here).

Speaking of the scarves... we've had a lot of questions about where/ how to buy them.  They are currently not for sale, but will be in the near future.  At this moment we have five designs printed (each design is printed four times on the roll of silk) but they (20 scarves total) aren't all hemmed yet.   We also want to print at least one more design (so there will be a complete set of six).  Once all the scarves are hemmed & ready - a paypal widget will be added - so purchases can be made directly to us, instead of going through a third party.

Blake has also been quite busy.  He just returned from a month-long trip back to the States to see family, Zoe, and of course - do more research / take photographs for the "truckdriver series."  The photograph above was taken by Blake while on a walk with his sister and Zoe while in Chicago.

Currently - he's nearing completion of the 'truckdriver' series ...which hopefully will be finished before the end of the month, in time for the MFA Interim Show in Glasgow.  The opening is on Friday the 6th of May from 6-8 pm at the Glasgow School of Art.  It runs from the 7th to the 14th of May.

What Blake will actually be including for it is still in a state of flux.  As it is a group show with 28 other artists, he won't be able to include both the truck driver pieces and "Lost Sheep in Glasgow" - and either project will have to go through some tweaking/editing simply due to space limitations where the pieces will be viewed.

More details on that later...
