Old Mint (Vernissage) Installation Photographs

After 2 long years, Zoe has completed her MFA in printmaking from the San Francisco Art Institute! As apart of that the graduating class held their end of the year show at San Francisco's historic Old Mint building. Zoe presented her Foamless = Homeless series, including a coloring book, posters, photographs and sculpture.

(preview) "Two-Tone Mojo" at the Black Sheep, SF

Here are two preview (iPhone) images of Blake Peterson + Zoe Phillips' 'Two-Tone Mojo' at the Black Sheep in San Francisco.  It is a collection of twelve giclee prints (each in an edition of five.)  Ten are drawings selected from Zoe's Books About Things, while two are from an upcoming collaboration.  

We will have proper documentation and reception information soon.

Short Clip of Mole Rats in Action!

On Saturday, the 20th of April Zoe participated in SFAI's Graduate open studios...

We'll have documentation of her work shortly, but here's a brief clip of her animatronic mole rat sculptures in action.  Although, a bit of a warning - the video is a bit shaky, as it was taken from a mobile phone.

We are also re-activating our ETSY SITE.  Right now, first edition copies of the Mole Rat Information Book and Books About Things are available.  We'll be adding more as the week goes on.

BLAST FROM THE PAST

Blake was going through "the archives," and discovered this piece!  

It's the wood-block Zoe used for her print "Zach Galifianakis in the Bathroom" (the last image in this post.)  As you may recall, Zach was a bit of a muse for her, back in 2010.
