Chocolate Candy (2012) by Blake Peterson

Hi Everyone!

Sorry for the lack of updates for a while.  I was in the States for a couple of weeks.  I just got back last night, and am now in the process of sorting through the hundreds of new images and photos from San Francisco and Chicago...

There will be another update very soon with loads of new images...

Here are some new prints from two different series. More to come.

New Videos

Between adding more images to my print series, and working on my sculpture piece, I decided to work on another 'infinite loop' stop-motion video (much like the ones found here and here). This time, I posted two different (low resolution) edits of the piece.

Each has a different soundtrack, and there are more effects / visual edits on version number two...

Here is Version One:

And Version Two:

Sheepish

the 'blotch face' prints keep coming...

a small selection (somewhere between six and ten) of the series will be shown as a part of the Glasgow School of Art MFA Graduation Show in a few months at the Glue Factory (more info soon)

Sculpture (work in progress)

I'm doing a bit of sculpture now - basically trying to do a three-dimensional version of an arm like in my print series.

So, I'm going to take these casts, sculpt over them (once they've dried)... then take those modified versions, do another mold and make them out of translucent plastic with some pigment...

Here are some photo's of the work as it's still being constructed...

Blake's arm (still with some of the alginate in the hand)

Blake's Hand, w/ Alginate still inside, & the other casting of his hand in the background)

Both Hands, Cleaned Off.

Another Weekend, Another Video

While finishing some images, Blake decided to do another quick stop-motion video

Here's a Low-Resolution copy of it...
