You ask?
Well... it went off quite nicely actually. We had a great turnout, even though it was the same weekend as the big studio art open house (but that was on Friday). Zoe made FANTASTIC cupcakes from scratch and bruscetta (spelling?) with bread that I brought back from Whole Foods in Chicago.
Although, there were some 'snags'. Nothing too incredibly major or distracting from the actual show; basically I didn't get the big audio project done in time. Yeah, I know it wasn't completely necessary (it's not like we were doing an "installation" if you know what I mean)... we ended up just making a playlist of the source tracks for the "audio project" and played them on my iPod. Also, I still need to get Zoe to record some vocals over some instrumentals I've got.... I would have also liked to have done more stuff to the actual place we were showing our work, but that was impossible, as the space gets used on a daily basis.
We ended up having over 130 pieces up. Zoe & I put up the last 30 or so a half hour before the show opened - that, on top of making an absurd number of cupcakes basically made us both zombies for the first hour or so of the show... (side note: I think we kinda weirded out the couple that came in early on in the show.... just b/c we were totally spacing out)
All the pieces were attached straight to the wall, mixing both of our prints & drawings together and just arranging them by color (like how it is in the above picture.)
